open / Saturday October 8 – 6pm
close / October 8 – November 15 '05

Harvey Levine is pleased to announce the launch of Harvey Levine Gallery, a new space for contemporary art in Culver City.
As he joins a growing art gallery presence in Culver City, containing over 25 galleries in a one mile radius, he brings with him new opportunities for emerging and established artists from Canada, London, Mexico City, and Los Angeles. Mr. Levine's aim is to provide innovative, accessible, and affordable works to multiple audiences and to act as catalyst for dialog and exchange.

Harvey Levine is proud to present the inaugural group exhibition of 12 Canada-based emerging and established artists titled — Blame Canada. Mr. Levine has culled this eclectic showcase spanning a broad range of approach to painting, photography, works on paper, video, and mixed media. This will be the Los Angeles premiere for most artists, whose roster includes: Stephen Andrews, Daniel Colby, Kim Dorland, Nancy Friedland, Clint Griffin, Sadko Hadzihasanovic, Drue Langlois, Melissa Levin, Allyson Mitchell, Nick and Sheila Pye, and Margeaux Williamson. Layered and complex ideas of identity, sexuality, allegory, landscape, and intimate narratives are explored from this unique perspective across the US northern border.

Harvey Levine Gallery is located inside a knob-making factory.
